British Gas announced a price cut of 10% on its standard gas product, after having raised gas prices by 35% in July 2008. The price cut will become effective as of 19th February 2009.

British Gas will publish the new rates closer to the effective date of the price cut.

NOTE: British Gas published the new prices for the standard rate of gas and electricity as well as the green Zero Carbon tariff on 03/02/09. Prices are up to date from that date.
